DIY Instagram Wall

IMG_5786Yay! I am so chuffed with my little weekend DIY project.

Our home renovations are finally complete and we are now at the fun part where we are able to decorate and add some final touches. After our kitchen was painted and my awesome clock from Pylones was put up, we were left with a bare open wall above our bistro table.

I recently ordered some Instagram prints from the nifty250 store with no idea really of what to do with them…. I just thought it was really cool! Then it just dawned on me that the polaroid’s would just add a personal touch to our kitchen. It was really simple to do.

1. Polaroids

2. Tape

3. Measuring Tape

4. Mounting squares

Using the measuring tape, the first step was to find the find the centre point of the wall and mark it with a piece of tape. I then started sticking the mounting squares on to the pics (one in each corner). These mounting squares are so cool as it strong enough to hold the picture to the wall but not strong enough to remove the paint off the wall, much to the Hubby’s delight.

I then stuck the first picture on the centre point and pasted tape along the picture, to create spacing for the other pictures. I then continued to add more pictures.

There is really no limit to the amount of pictures so I can always add and reshuffle the pictures as time goes by! One can also play around with shapes such as hearts but for now I am happy with the square.

I am really happy with the final result though.

So glad that my Hubby and princess approves 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
