Nursery Design – Inspiring Baby spaces

With Alyssa settled in at school, her 2nd birthday party underway and all our little home improvements completed, we can finally start preparing the nursery for our little boy who is due to arrive in just 8 weeks! I’m excited about creating a special space for our son, where we’ll be spending a lot of time. I want a space that feels appropriate for a baby, but also something practical that would feel connected with the rest of our home.We are reusing many of the basic pieces from when Alyssa was little, but I am hoping to transform the room so that we still get that “new” feeling before baby arrives.

Dining area upgrade

Happy New year everyone! I have been dying to post details of our dining area upgrade which was ready just in time for Christmas lunch.I was so lucky to have won a R2500 voucher for canvex wallpaper from Expandasign by entering a competition on the SA Decor & Design blog (which is one of my favorite blogs BTW) which allowed us to get some wallpaper for two different areas within our home 🙂

We also got around to arranging re-upholstery for some chairs which my husband bought about 2 years ago at a salvage store. He managed to get 8 chairs and a table which were fire damaged for about 300 bucks. This is what the chairs looked like before
